Description
Wild Goose is a house dating from the late 16th century, with alterations from the 18th century and restoration in the 20th century. It features a timber frame, with the ground floor left exposed on a brick and stone plinth, while the center and right sections have sandstone infill and brick cladding. The first floor is tile hung, with red and brown brick extensions to the right, and it has a plain tiled, half-hipped roof. The building has two storeys, with an end stack to the right, a ridge stack to the left of center, and an additional stack at the rear. The first floor jetties on brackets across the old range. The fenestration is irregular, with eight windows on the first floor, including three small casements, and seven windows on the ground floor, featuring a larger window to the right. There is a door to the right of center, set in a porch with a pentice roof. There are also extensions at right angles to the rear right.
