Description

10 Bridge Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered and is now a Chinese takeaway restaurant. The building features a timber frame that has largely been replaced and covered with stucco, and it has a plain tile roof. It stands three storeys high with one bay. The shop front is from the 20th century, and there are three 20th-century windows on each floor, with the second-floor windows being smaller. A plat band runs along the second floor, and the roof is hipped at the front with a later parapet on the left side. There is an external stack on the left side, and a two-storey flat-roofed rear addition that is not of special interest.

The interior has not been inspected, but the shop contains a section of panelled timber framing on the right timber bressummer above a lateral fireplace, along with a large chamfered cross-beam that has a stop with a bar, raised triangle, and cyma moulding.
