Description
The hard tennis pavilion, built in 1928-1929, is located to the northwest of Hascombe Court. It was part of garden improvements designed by Percy Cane for Sir John Jarvis Bart. This circular building features a timber frame with red brick infill and a conical tiled roof. The side facing the tennis court has an open upper section, and it includes a cleverly designed half-glazed segmental-shaped wooden door that slides along a metal track. Inside, there is a built-in curved wooden bench. This pavilion is one of five garden buildings created by Percy Cane during the same period at Hascombe Court.
