Description
Folly Tower, built in 1858, is located in the grounds of "Redwood" in Nutfield. It is constructed of coursed stone with brick quoins at the corners and stone quoins on the lowest stage. The tower is square and consists of three stages, topped with a rendered dressed stone parapet that features battlements. Gargoyles are positioned at the angles of the string course at the base of the parapet. There are string courses above the ground and first stages, and each face of the upper stages has one two-light stone dressed window. A door is located on the left-hand side, and there is a single-storey brick extension on the right side.
