Description

The Old Farm Guest House is an early to mid-19th century two-story detached house. The exterior is rendered with pebbledash, accentuated by vertical strips, a band above the ground floor, and window dressings. It has a hipped slate roof and side chimneys connected by arches. The front facade features three windows, with slender glazing bar sashes; the outer ground floor windows are tripartite. An arched central doorway is topped with a simple fanlight, and framed by vermiculated key and impost blocks, now containing a modern door with raised and fielded panels. A lower two-story wing extends to the rear, also featuring chimneys joined by an arch. This wing is connected by a covered passage to a detached two-story pavilion with a hipped roof; it may have originally served as a dairy with a cheese room above.
