Description
Homestead Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with later additions. It features a brick front and a red tiled roof, topped by a large central chimney stack. The building has two storeys, with an attic floor to the left. The front of the cottage has two windows, with the upper right window having an elliptical arched head. There are two doors, one to the left and one to the right, which date from the 19th-century division of the cottage. The north half of the cottage has a catslide roof, while the south half has been significantly altered, featuring a rendered flank wall and 20th-century additions. There is an early 19th-century rear extension on the north side, which is two storeys high with brick walls and a tiled roof. The south gable end is rendered and painted, and there are 20th-century windows throughout.
