Description

This is a circa 1700 building, originally a long rectangular block and now divided into five cottages. It has two storeys and five windows, with projecting, gabled bays containing a single window at each end, extending through both storeys. Five two-light casement dormers with gabled roofs are present. The windows themselves are also two-light casements, with one window above and one below ground floor level. A narrow chimney breast stands at the front, and two stacks are located in the central part of the roof. There are five plain, wooden boarded doors. The roof is tiled. The numbering of the cottages was applied by Canadian soldiers during the First World War. A photograph of the building is held in the National Monuments Record.
