Description
This is a garden wall with a gateway and gate located approximately 6 metres in front of Ashtead Farm House. It was likely built in the late 18th century and is constructed from red hand-made brick. The straight wall stands about 2 metres high and features a central gateway that aligns with the front door of the house. The gateway is flanked by square gate piers topped with pineapple finials. The wrought-iron gate has vertical bars, dog-bars, and a decorative band of scrolls, all under a twisted overthrow. There is a similar gateway at the left end of the wall.
