Description
Dovecote, probably early 19th century. Constructed of flint with brick quoins and banding, it features a Welsh slate roof. The building is square in shape and has two storeys, with a single-storey catslide roof to the rear. There is a brick-dressed door on the east face with a boarded door and an arched birdhole above it. The dovecote has a pyramidal roof with a raised cap, one casement window in the catslide at the rear, a doorway on the left side, and a corner chimney. Inside, the walls of the upper stage are lined with wooden nesting boxes.
Additionally, there is a farm building, possibly a vegetable store, from the 18th century. This structure is made of flint with brick banding and has a hipped pantile roof. It also has two storeys and a single-storey catslide to the rear. The east face features a brick-dressed door and an arched opening on the first floor above it, along with one casement window in the catslide at the rear. Part of this building lies in Mole Valley District, Headley Civil Parish, and it is included for group value only with the farmhouse.
