Description
The Dairy at Park Farm is an early to mid 19th century building, dating from 1839. It is a single-storey, octagonal structure made of flint with red brick dressings and lacing courses. The roof is tiled and octagonal, featuring overhanging eaves. The building has five windows with segmental arches and red brick dressings, which include two-light casements with glazing bars, as well as some blind window openings.
Inside, the dairy has a stone floor made of white stone and small dark blue diamond-shaped flags. The walls are tiled up to bench level and feature a wooden dairy bench with a tiled top. Above the bench, the walls are painted blue, except for the tiled shouldered architraves above the windows, tiled borders in each bay, and a tiled frieze made of blue, white, and beige tiles. The dairy has been recently restored and repaired. An inscription at the entrance reads: "At Spes non fracta A Singer Excudit Vauxhall MDCCC XXXIX."
