Description
Pixham Church, located on Pixham Lane, was built in 1901 and dedicated in 1903. The architect was E L Lutyens. The church features roughcast walls with brick lacing courses and window dressings, topped by a steeply pitched tiled saddleback roof. The western gable end has a double wooden door with a semi-circular tympanum, which is surrounded by brick moulding, and brick lacing courses that radiate outwards above it. A bell-cote is situated on the roof of the nave. The church comprises a nave and an apse with a continuous roof line, along with a north-south wing that has two conjoined gables. Between these gables are two tall brick stacks set diamond-wise. Each gable end has a tall window featuring two lights and three tiers, complete with transoms and a mullion. Inside, the circular apse displays brick and stone lacing courses.
