Description

Eversheds Farm House and the adjoining shed are located in Ockley and date back to the 17th century, with refacing and extensions added in the 18th and 19th centuries. The house features a timber frame that is exposed in the shed and on the west wall, while the rest is clad in red and brown brick. The roofs are plain tiled, with Horsham slabs covering the shed.

The building has an L-shaped plan, with an older central range, a double-pile extension to the east, and a shed to the west. The new entrance front is two storeys high, set on a plinth, and features a moulded wooden modillion cornice and a hipped roof. There is a panelled stack to the right end beneath the cornice. The front has five bays, with a central window on the first floor that is blocked. A plat band of gauged brick runs across the ground floor, and there are four 18-pane glazing bar sash windows on each floor, all under gauged brick heads. The central entrance has a half-glazed door set in a brick dentilled cornice break, with a fanlight above.

To the left, there is a two-storey gabled wing that projects, featuring a plat band over the ground floor. Each floor has one sash window, with an attic window above. The entrance front has a hip end on the left and a gable end on the right, with a stack to the right and irregular mixed fenestration, including leaded windows on the gable. A double-gabled porch, patterned with tiles, is located left of centre and has pierced and scalloped bargeboards with pendant spike finials. The door is situated in the right gable. The gable end of the shed to the right has an exposed frame and garage doors on the ground floor.

Inside, there is egg and dart moulding around the fireplace in the ground floor room located in the northeast corner.
