Description

The Queens Head Public House is a building that originally served as a house, dating back to the 17th century. It has been extended at the rear right in the 18th or 19th century and to the left in the 20th century. The core of the building is timber framed, which is exposed in the gable end of the rear wing, while the front and extensions are clad in red and blue brick. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles.

The structure has two storeys and features a large, square chimney stack at the center of the ridge, which has arched panels on its sides and a rebuilt, raised top. On the left side, there is a 3-light eaves dormer with tension braces to the gable and zig-zag mouldings along the edges, and a similar dormer is located on the right. To the left, there is a 3-light casement window situated under the eaves. The ground floor has two large 4-light windows with cambered heads, which have tiled infilling beneath the arches. There is a half-glazed door at the central lobby entrance, although this entrance is now blocked. Additionally, there is a single-storey brick extension with another door at the left end and a further door in the right-hand extension.
