Description

Frogmore Cottage is a possible hall house dating from the early 16th century. It is timber framed and largely underbuilt in red brick, with brick infill between the exposed timbers on the upper level. The roof is tiled, with a hipped shape and gablets. The building has four framed bays, including a chimney bay. The first floor features arched bracing. A gabled dormer with tile hanging is situated on the right side. There are end ridge and main ridge stacks on the left and right respectively. The windows are irregularly placed, with diamond-paned leaded casements; three are on the first floor, one between floors on the left, and three on the ground floor. A 20th-century door is positioned on the right side. Pentice extensions are present at both ends of the building.
