Description

The Seahorse Public House is a late 17th-century public house with an 19th-century range added to the rear. It is built on a smooth rendered plinth with colourwashed roughcast over brickwork, and has hipped slate roofs. The building is two storeys high, with a plat band above the ground floor and deep eaves. Central rear and end stacks are present. There are six leaded cross windows flush to the wall, with one blocked window to the right of the centre. The ground floor has five casement windows, all with shutters; one window is situated under a flat hood, possibly marking a former doorway. A half-glazed door with a transome light and flat hood is on the left side of the centre, and a panelled door with a transome light is on the right side. A hipped roof single-storey extension is to the right, and a 20th-century single-storey extension is to the left end, with double doors connecting to the main building.
