Description

A cottage dating from the 17th century with alterations in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed and covered with whitewashed render, topped by a hipped slate roof with a mansard to the rear. It is two storeys high, with a plinth on the right-hand side. The first floor is jettied, supported by brackets at the centre and ends, and a fascia board. Rear stacks are present. The front has two leaded first-floor windows and two leaded windows on the ground floor, flanked by shutters. A panelled door is located to the right of centre, leading up two steps. Some timber framing is visible on a wing projecting at right angles to the rear, which has tile hanging on the first floor, relating to number 22. The interior reveals some timber framing, and the cottage was undergoing restoration at the time of resurvey.
