Description

The building adjoining Gomshall Tannery is likely a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, and it later became part of a tannery. The structure is primarily timber framed but has been mostly refronted in painted brick, with some areas of roughcast. It features an old tiled roof and an external brick chimney stack, along with cross-shaped iron ties and an additional external chimney stack to the right. There are some 20th-century casement windows. The exterior reveals one post, and the pattern of the original framing is visible beneath the later paintwork, showcasing a midrail and diagonal braces.

Inside, the building has jawed upright posts and a crown post roof.
