Description
A row of cottages dating from the early 18th century, located in Seale and Sands. The cottages are built of red and blue brick, with some areas colour-washed, and have a plain tiled, half-hipped roof. Brick dentilled eaves run along the top of the building, with a ridge stack on the left and a square stack on the right.
The front of the cottages is regular in appearance. The upper floor has seven leaded casement windows: six are two-light, and one is a single light. Below, six windows have leaded glazing under cambered heads. Four ground-floor windows in the centre are fitted with drop shutters. A board door is situated at the right end (No. 1), sheltered by a Victorian, gabled, shallow open porch with trellis sides. A similar porch with a partly glazed door is located to the left of centre (No. 2), and another partly glazed door is set within a similar porch to the left. A rendered extension is visible at the rear right of the cottages.
