Description

The former stables and coach house, now a store, date from the mid to later 19th century. Constructed of local stone rubble with ashlar dressings and a tiled roof, the building has an L-shaped layout. The eastern section originally comprised stabling to the south and a tack room to the north. A projecting gable features a cambered mullioned and transomed casement window to the right and a cambered doorcase with a fanlight and plank door to the left. The western section includes a hayloft above a coach house, with a loading entrance in the west gable. The south elevation has two large coach doors. The stable retains iron and wooden stall partitions, wooden plank panelling, and iron feeding troughs. The tack room features wooden plank panelling, a wooden fireplace, and a cupboard.
