Description
Nos 119 and 121 on High Street in Epsom are late 17th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall. They are constructed of colourwashed brick with applied timber-framing. The first floor features two 19th-century wood canted sash bay windows, while the ground floor has 19th-century shop fronts. The building has a parapet with a balustrade and two dormers in the old tiled roof. It is noted that Nell Gwyn is said to have lodged here, and Samuel Pepys' diary entry from July 14, 1667, mentions her as residing in the next house to the King's Head, which is believed to be this building.
