Description
The York Column is a monument located in Weybridge, originally constructed in 1697 and moved to its current location in 1822. It features a stone Tuscan Doric column standing on a square plinth, with panelled pedestals above. The east side of the column has an inscription, and the top is adorned with egg and dart moulding. A conical finial rests on a stepped drum support, which has a crown top. This column was originally part of the Seven Dial Monument designed by Edward Pierce and was relocated to commemorate Frederica, Duchess of York.
