Description

This is a lamp post located approximately 40 yards southwest of number 76 on Octagon Road in Whiteley Village. It dates from around 1912 and is made of cast iron. The lamp post features a square, four-legged base with a diagonally framed basket top. It has a tapering standard that supports a lantern, which is adorned with a decorative finial and is mounted on a double scroll-work, S-curve arm.
