Description

The Johnson obelisk, located 6 metres southeast of the east end of the Church of St Nicholas in Thames Ditton, is a Grade II listed structure dedicated to Roberta Johnson. Erected in 1729, it is made of stone and features a square plinth and a panelled square pedestal that has inscriptions and a moulded top. The obelisk itself, topped with an urn finial, stands on four corner spheres above the pedestal and reaches a height of approximately 12 feet.
