Description

This is a house dating from the early 19th century, although it has earlier origins. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with an ashlar facade, and has a gabled concrete tile roof and brick end stacks. The house follows a double-depth plan and is three storeys high, with a three-window front. It features keyed flat stone arches with wrought-iron brackets supporting flat hoods over two 20th-century doors with overlights. Three bow windows have glazing bars. The windows themselves are six-pane sashes, with keyed stone lintels. Raised storey bands run across the facade. A two-storey outshut is located at the rear and has a 20th-century tile roof. Inside, there are stone flag floors, and an early 19th-century dog-leg staircase with stick balusters and a ramped handrail. A 17th-century chamfered beam is visible at the rear.
