Description

Chaucer's Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof, with brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge. The house has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a three-window range. A 20th-century bracketed segmental hood is positioned over a 20th-century door. The windows have concrete lintels and are horned 8-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
