Description
Cherwell Lodge is a house built around 1830, constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. It features a gabled Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks. The building has an L-plan layout with a rear right wing and is symmetrical, showcasing a three-window range. The entrance has a bracketed flat hood and a plain raised architrave above a five-panelled door. The windows are fitted with keyed cambered arches over margin-light sashes that include an overlight. There is a service range at the rear, built around 1840 from brick with a Welsh slate roof, featuring two-panelled doors and eight-pane sashes. Inside, the house contains 19th-century fireplaces and a staircase. The property is included for its group value.
