Description

This is a row of four early to mid-18th century dwellings, located in Old Woodstock and extended in the later 18th century. The construction is of coursed limestone rubble, with a gabled stone slate roof, and brick ridge and end stacks. The original plan was for three units, but it was extended to four. The building presents as two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range. The windows have stop-chamfered timber lintels above them, and timber lintels over 19th-century panelled doors. One 18th-century two-panelled door is at number 117, and the windows are predominantly 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. Single-storey bays were added to each side in the 19th century. Gabled roof dormers, including a 19th-century two-light casement, are visible in the attic. The interior remains uninspected, but is likely to be of interest.
