Description

Glove House is a late 18th-century house located on the west side of Manor Road in Old Woodstock. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled stone slate roof, and has brick ridge and end stacks. It follows a three-unit plan and is two storeys and an attic in height, featuring a five-window range. A timber lintel is above the 20th-century door on the left side, while a late 19th-century timber porch and a 20th-century door are located to the right of centre. The windows are eight-pane sashes with timber lintels, and there are hipped dormers in the attic.

Inside, the house features 19th-century shutters and panelled doors, stone-flag floors, and a quarter-turn staircase in the central room. It was previously used as glove-making workshops.
