Description
Elm Cottage and Beechcroft are two houses located on Manor Road in Old Woodstock, dating from around 1820. The buildings are constructed from squared and coursed limestone, featuring ashlar blocks, and have gabled roofs covered with concrete tiles, along with brick stacks at the ends. They follow a two-unit plan and are two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range.
Wrought-iron brackets support a flat stone hood over a late 19th-century half-glazed door. There are flat stone arches above six-pane sash windows, and two gabled dormers are present. The early 19th-century Elm Cottage (No. 107) on the left is made from similar materials but has a Welsh slate roof. It features flat stone arches above a 20th-century door and a six-pane sash window, along with a ten-pane sash window on the first floor. The interiors have not been inspected. These houses are included in the listing for their group value.
