Description
These are two houses located in West End, Witney. They were likely built in the mid to late 17th century. The houses are constructed of roughly-coursed limestone rubble, with a gabled roof covered in artificial stone slates. The end stacks are finished with 20th-century brick. The houses have a two-unit plan and two storeys, with a four-window facade. A timber lintel sits above a 20th-century door on the right-hand side; a timber lintel also covers an early 19th-century six-panel door with a bracketed flat hood on the left-hand side. Further timber lintels are above 20th-century windows on the right, and three early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows on the left. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to contain features of interest.
