Description
Consitt House is a row house that dates from around 1800. It is constructed of roughly coursed rubble with indications of remodelling and features a Cotswold stone roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two gabled dormers and a smaller raking-top dormer on the left, which may be part of the adjacent Royal Oak Public House. The house is three bays wide and has two windows on each floor, featuring glazing-bar sashes, with 20 panes in the left ground floor window. To the left of centre, there is a simple pilastered doorcase with a six-panel mid-19th century door that has lozenge glazing in the transom lights, and a further four-panel door to the right. The ground floor windows and the sides of the house are topped with wooden lintels. The property is notable for its architectural features and historical context.
