Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with an 18th-century extension and a refronting from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a stone ridge stack finished in brick. The building has a double-depth plan that extends to an L-shape with a rear right wing. It has two storeys and a symmetrical three-window range. There is a timber lintel above a 19th-century four-panelled door with an overlight, and timber lintels over six-over-eight pane sash windows. Similar sash windows are present in the side walls. At the rear, there is a later 18th-century two-storey bay with an end stack made of stone finished in brick and a 19th-century doorway. A 17th-century one-storey block at the rear has been substantially rebuilt in the early 19th century. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
