Description

Wayside is a 17th-century house constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble, featuring a half-hipped thatch roof and a brick end stack. The building has been extended to create a two-unit plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with an irregular one-window range. There are timber lintels above 19th-century plank doors located to the right and center, the latter of which has a 20th-century timber porch. The left gable end has a half-hipped design and includes an early 19th-century three-light casement window in a dormer, above a timber lintel that supports a similar casement window. At the rear, there is a similar casement and a weatherboard outshut. A 20th-century garage is located to the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
