Description
The Green is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from around 1800. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a gabled stone slate roof. The building features brick stacks at the right end and rear. The layout is a central-staircase plan, with two storeys and a three-window range.
The central entrance has a 19th-century six-panelled door with an overlight and a bracketed flat hood. There are keyed stone lintels above the eight-pane sash windows flanking the door and above it to the top right. A keyed cambered arch is present over a two-light leaded casement above the door, and a four-light leaded casement is located to the left.
To the left of the main house is a one-storey service range built of similar materials, featuring a bracketed flat hood over a 20th-century door and a cambered arch over a three-light leaded casement. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
