Description
This building is a barn and stable located approximately 40 meters east of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the early 18th century and the mid to late 18th century. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble with some ashlar dressings, topped with corrugated iron and concrete plain-tile roofs. The barn features six bays and has full-height double doors in the fifth bay, lower opposed doors at the rear, and a small segmental-arched door in the third bay, along with several slit vents. A single-row dovecote runs beneath the eaves. The stable, which is later in date, is situated to the right and includes a loft above. Inside the barn, the roof has heavy trusses with tiebeams, collars, and reused principals that support trenched purlins. This building is included for its group value.
