Description

These are two barns located approximately 100 meters southeast of Duck End House, dating from the early 18th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble with limestone-ashlar quoins and have corrugated-sheet roofs. The larger barn has a four-bay plan and features opposed double doors, while the smaller barn has a three-bay plan with a widened main entrance and a small rear door. Both barns have walls with small triangular vents and a pitching door in the left gable. Inside, the trusses include tiebeams and collars, supporting two rows of butt purlins with through tenons that hold rafters with jointed apexes.
