Description
The Darling is a house built in the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled Welsh slate roof, along with 18th-century brick end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan with a rear right wing and stands two storeys tall, presenting a three-window range. A timber lintel supports a 19th-century plank door that is topped with a bracketed pediment hood. The windows are 20th-century casements, also with timber lintels. There is a one-storey bay with a hipped stone slate roof. The rear wing includes flat stone arches above a 20th-century door and windows. Inside, there is a chamfered beam on the left and a cased beam on the right, along with 18th-century plank doors on the first floor.
