Description
Deanhurst is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century, with a facade that was altered in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble with wide-jointed ashlar on the facade and has a stone slate roof. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys plus an attic, featuring a three-window range. The windows are sash style, with the left one being tripartite, and they are positioned beside a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch supported by timber uprights on low stone walls. The first floor has 20th-century pivoted windows, all set beneath cambered voussoirs. The house also includes three identical rendered gabled dormers, each with sash windows that have glazing bars and horns. The interior has not been inspected. On the left return front facing Fishers Lane, there is one attic window on the front range and a large-paned sash window along with a gabled dormer on the rear range.
