Description

Crockwell House is a house dating to 1707, situated on the north-east side of Ramsden High Street. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a 20th-century machine tile roof. The building follows a two-unit plan and extends over two storeys, featuring integral brick end stacks that were rebuilt in the 20th century. The front facade has a two-window arrangement; the ground floor windows are 2-light wooden casements with flat stone arches and stone sills, while the first-floor windows are similarly 2-light casements with wooden lintels. A central 20th-century half-glazed door is set within a 20th-century porch. A flush datestone above the porch is inscribed "C/WE/1707." The interior of the house has not been inspected.
