Description
The Franklin Memorial is a headstone located approximately 40 meters south of the tower of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. It dates from around 1699 and is made of marlstone in a Baroque style. The memorial features a swelling oval panel that is framed by scrolls, festoons, and a cherub head. The inscription commemorates John Franklin, who died in 1699.
