Description
Coldstream is a farmhouse dated "IW/1729". It features a front made of part freestone and has a slate roof with end chimneys; the right-hand chimney has a brick top while the left-hand chimney is made of ashlar. There is a lower projecting kitchen wing at right angles, which includes a bread-oven projection and end chimneys, with the inner chimney being gabled. The main section of the house is two storeys high and has three bays. On the right-hand side, there are two segment-headed windows with keys, which are 20th-century casements, and a smaller window on the ground floor. The central entrance is a segment-headed doorway with a key.
Inside, the center room features a spine beam and joists with stop chamfers. The right-hand room has stairs beside a fireplace that includes a very small baking chamber with a wooden floor. The left-hand part, located behind the kitchen projection, was likely used as a dairy.
