Description
Hampton House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed from squared and coursed limestone with a gabled stone slate roof and late 19th-century brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, featuring a two-window range. A timber lintel sits above a late 19th-century six-panelled door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century timber porch. The windows on the ground floor are fitted with segmental stone arches over late 19th-century six-pane sashes, while the first floor has late 19th-century two-light casements. A 20th-century raking roof dormer is present. To the front left, there is a service range from the 18th century, which was extended in the 19th century. Additionally, there is a mid-19th-century two-storey extension made from similar materials, also with a brick end stack on the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
