Description
Mylors is a house located in Hanborough, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with an extension added to the left in the mid to late 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with brick end stacks. Originally a one-unit plan, it has been extended to a three-unit layout. The house is two storeys high and has a range of two windows, which has been extended to four. There are chamfered timber lintels above a 20th-century door and windows.
An outhouse with a lean-to roof is attached to the rear stair turret. To the right, there is a late 18th or early 19th-century service bay made of limestone rubble, featuring a gabled concrete tile roof and a 19th-century plank door. Additionally, there is a further two-bay cartshed with a Welsh slate roof to the right. Inside, there are 19th-century plank doors and a notable 17th-century plank door with decorative strap hinges on the left. The interior includes a stop-chamfered beam with chamfered joists, while the first floor has not been inspected.
