Description

This is a 16th-century house that has been altered in the 19th century and incorporates commercial premises. The front is rendered on timber-frame, with a steep-pitched Cotswold stone roof. The building is two storeys and an attic, and sits above a cellar. It features a square-headed gable projecting from the front wall, an angled bay window on the first floor, a slate pentice below a shop front with slender glazing bars, and a half-glazed door. A decorative food-spice cupboard with splat-balusters is located on the first floor. A timber-framed gable is visible at the rear. A courtyard is situated at the rear of the property, with a kitchen block set at a right angle, enclosing the courtyard. A well, now filled in, lies beyond the kitchen block.
