Description

Windrush Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an early 19th century front, likely built over an earlier structure. It features coursed squared stone and a slate roof with stone end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a three-bay range. To the right of the centre, there is a six-panel door with stone flat hoods supported by brackets. To the right of this door are two 12-pane unhorned sash windows, and to the left, there is another 12-pane unhorned sash window. A flat stone drip mould runs along the ground floor, with blind panels on the first floor to the left and right. The centre of the first floor has a 12-pane window, and there is a 12-pane unhorned sash window to the left of centre. A flat stone drip-mould is also present on the first floor. On the second floor, there is a 12-pane unhorned sash window to the left and two-light casements with glazing bars in the centre and right. To the left of the main building, there is a wing that is two storeys high and has a two-bay range, constructed of coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof and a brick end stack on the left. The centre of this wing features a sash door with a stone lintel that has a keystone and a flat stone hood on brackets, while the first floor to the right has a two-light casement window. The interior of the farmhouse has not been inspected.
