(Formerly listed as Witney Mill at SP 3545 1037)

II

Blanket mill, c.1820. Squared and coursed limestone with brick walling to gable ends; stone-coped Welsh-slate roof. Four storeys; symmetrical six-window range. Concrete lintel over plank double doors to left and flat stone arch over central plank door. Flat stone arches over iron casements. Interior: heavy beans supported by cast-iron columns.

The mill has water powered, and combined the fulling, weaving and spinning processes under one roof. Shafts and wheels for belts remain, but mill-wheel has gone.
