Description

The Old Crown is a house that was an inn at the time of listing, built in the mid-19th century with some minor later additions and alterations. It is constructed from regularly coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with integral end stacks that have red brick shafts and plain moulded capping. The building is two storeys high and has three windows with segmental-headed 19th-century casements. There is a central entrance with a six-panel door, where the top panels are now glazed, and it is sheltered by a bracketed lean-to slate hood. This building is included for its group value.
