Description
The gate piers, gates, and quadrant walls located approximately 105 meters southwest of Cornwell Manor were built in 1939 by Clough Williams Ellis for Mrs. Anthony Gillson. These structures incorporate four existing gate piers that are likely from the late 18th century. The gate piers are made of limestone ashlar with moulded capping and ball finials, featuring a square section. The inner piers are connected by decorative wrought-iron gates and quadrant drystone walls with ramped coping, linking the inner piers to the outer ones. These elements serve as the main entrance to Cornwell Manor and are included for their group value.
