Description
The Baughan memorials are located approximately 4 meters and 5 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Andrew in Great Rollright. The headstone and pedestal date from around 1681 and 1777 and are made of marlstone and limestone. The small headstone features an arched Baroque design with a recessed inscription panel set within an eared and shouldered architrave, commemorating Ann Baughan, who died in 1681. The square limestone pedestal has a moulded base and cornice, topped with a square finial that is carved with cherub's faces. The inscriptions on the pedestal commemorate Jane and John Baughan, who died in 1777 and 1779, respectively.
