Description
The Old Rectory, now a house, dates from the early 17th century and was enlarged around 1840. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled concrete tile roof with a brick end stack. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range on its double-gabled front. The windows include 20th-century casements and two-light wood-mullioned windows in the attic, while a segmental stone arch is found over a ground-floor window to the right, which is part of a wall that was rebuilt in the mid-19th century.
Behind the Old Rectory is a mid-19th century outbuilding, enclosed by a tall stone rubble wall with stone slate coping. There are two two-storey ranges at the rear, built of similar materials and dating from the early 19th century and around 1840. These include a cambered stone arch over a 19th-century four-panelled door with an overlight, and 8-pane sash windows with brick dressings on the left side wall, while the main door is located to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
